I really think 5E was created with thought in mind: "how can we get the people who can't understand the rules to make a useful character, no matter what dumb choices they make."

I'm liking the system a lot so far. There isn't too much to keep track of and lots of things have been simplified. It's no longer an algebraic equation to figure out if that spell of your is going to hit or not.

Yeah, it really allows for a lot of different actions pretty much on a d20 alone, without being crazy bland. I'm looking forward to any expansions they have planned.
